FIESTRAVAGANZA – THE BRAND

Fiestravaganza is the resulting fusion between the Spanish words Fiesta (festival) and Extravaganza (extravagant). The term was initially used as the title of a four-hands piano work written by Shaun in 2015. The whacky piece reflects the cheerful vibes and animated activities of people at a spectacular festive event, which includes boisterous laughter and energetic dancing. The work soon gained international success, reaching nearly 6 million cumulative views on YouTube today. It has won numerous prizes at duo competitions and has sold over a thousand copies online.

In 2022, Shaun received a grant from Germany’s Federal Ministry for Media and Culture as part of NEUSTART KULTUR. Grants were awarded to selected individuals to fund creative projects as part of efforts to restart cultural events after the devastating impact of Covid-19 on the performing arts industry. In a bid to support fellow musicians who were reeling from the cultural standstill due to Covid restrictions, Shaun used the funds to form Camerata Fiestravaganza, carefully selecting 35 musicians for their diversity and excellent musicianship. Together, they gave a concert in the great hall of Berlin’s University of Arts for a full house of 650 attendees (reduced seating capacity due to Covid restrictions). The orchestra has since grown to over 50 members.

A year later, in 2023, the Fiestravaganza International Music Academy was founded. In late 2024, the brand expanded further by forming the Fiestravaganza Ensemble, a piano quartet featuring the orchestra’s string principals, aimed at fostering stronger connections among its members.

In 2025, Fiestravaganza was established as a “Gemeinnützige Unternehmergesellschaft” (gUG) in Berlin. Now officially a Non-Profit Organization, Fiestravaganza gUG remains committed to fostering the next generation of musical talent, providing an unparalleled platform for growth and artistic expression. We are also forging intercultural relationships by collaborating with international institutions and organisations.
