Featuring over 50 piano & string participants from 20 countries, we are thrilled to present FOUR free-admission concerts this year, across solo, chamber, and orchestral settings.

WHAT IS CONCERTO FIESTRAVAGANZA?
|
Concerto Fiestravaganza champions the vision of young orchestral musicians supporting even younger soloists, featuring selected participants from the Fiestravaganza International Music Academy (FIMA). This unique summer program offers gifted young pianists from around the world rare opportunities to grow through masterclasses and workshops led by esteemed professors.
|

Performing alongside them: Berlin-based Singaporean pianist Shaun Choo, and the Camerata Fiestravaganza under the baton of Evan-Alexis Christ. This vibrant orchestra unites over 50 musicians from diverse cultural backgrounds, many of whom study at Berlin’s top music institutions: Universität der Künste, Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler, and the Barenboim–Said Akademie.

Immerse yourself in the lush soundscapes of the Romantic era, featuring masterpieces such as Rachmaninov’s Piano Concerto No. 2 in C minor & Chopin’s Piano Concerto No. 2 in F minor, as well as movements from Concertos by Beethoven, Grieg & Prokofiev.

A celebration of elegance and clarity, this evening showcases movements from no less than FIVE Mozart piano concertos and two of Bach’s keyboard concertos – amongst others.

- Masterclasses and Workshops: Participants will receive individual lessons and workshops from world-renowned professors such as Jacques Rouvier, Lucas Blondeel, and Christian A. Pohl. These sessions will take place in the prestigious Carl Bechstein Saal.
- Exclusive Instrument Access: Imagine playing Chopin on a Pleyel or Beethoven on a Hammerklavier! Thanks to Bechstein’s Vintage Keyboard Collection, participants can choose from over 50 historical instruments to work with.
- Performance Opportunities: Participants will take part in solo, chamber, and orchestral concerts at esteemed venues, including the magnificent concert halls of our cooperation partner, the Berlin University of the Arts. (Fun fact: This concert hall was home to the Berlin Philharmonic under Herbert von Karajan in the 1960s!)
- String Program: String participants will receive coaching from members of the Viatores Quartet and the Fiestravaganza Ensemble, two emerging ensembles in Berlin. They will also have the opportunity to perform solo, in chamber ensembles, and as part of an orchestra.
- Perform with Orchestra: Selected piano participants will get the chance to perform a movement of a piano concerto with Camerata Fiestravaganza. Selected string participants will join the string sections led by the string mentors.
